    Has anyone heard of the Miracle Fruit? After hearing a lot of buzz over the past few months, I finally found some in the NYC area and decided to give it a try, and wow, it really works! For those who have no idea what I'm talking about, the Miracle Fruit is a berry from Africa that makes everything on your tongue taste sweet - go ahead, google it.

    Obviously I was a bit skeptical at first so I went out of my way to find some and picked up an array of sour & bitter foods to give it a try. After a couple of minutes of rolling the berry around on my tongue, I was sucking on lemons like candy and sipping straight vodka just to really give it a run for its money (I don't necessarily condone the vodka test, but to each his own). When the effects finally wore off about 4 hours later, I think my tastebuds were a bit hungover from sucking on so many sour things, but was well worth it in my opinion for the interesting experience.

    If you can actually manage to get your hands on some, I recommend giving it a try. Heck, maybe even make a flavor tripping party out of it. And yes, it's perfectly legal.

    Yeah, I read about this. Guy spent about $120 once. There is a thread about this on VWVortex as well.

    I was talking about this at work and one of my coworkers brought this up. I have to try this out, though it won't change your sense of smell so we gotta make sure the taco smells fresh still!

    Anyone have a Flavor tripping party? If so any recomendations?

    My roommates and I all did it this year. It really does work amazingly well. Just stay away from extremely cold or hot items as it will lessen the effect very quickly. Lemons are amazing, but be careful to not suck on them too much. It sounds stupid but wait until you try it, you won't be able to stop. A scoop of lemon sorbet mixed in with guinness extra stout is pretty amazing too. Just experiment. I feel like it was definitely worth the 20 dollars i spent for the 12 tablets. Especially considering each tablet was good for 2 trips. I highly recommend it, always a good time when we don't have anything better to do.
