Scored 4 tickets for me, my son, BIL and nephew, but having hard time finalizing our stay. First time to race, plenty of times to Montreal. We'll likely like to spend evenings in old Montreal, so is it better to stay on that side, or more clever to be on less crowded Longuil side (expecting less people on subway going in)? Might also be easier to get the 4 day parking (we're from T.O.). Thanks.

Coming in from the South Shore is always easier during GP week.
Using the Metro (subway) is also a great alternative to getting around by car in the Downtown area.
I say do a search using Trivago or Expedia, and see what comes up.

Thanks for the tip. I wound up booking and will use the Metro to get in/out - just not enough options left close to the track. Fingers-crossed this one won't be cancelled.

imo Stay in Old Montreal or downtown, you can walk to everything. Staying on the south shore will be more of a pain for everything but the metro ride.

You mentioned parking passes, I would love to get my hands on a casino parking pass for race day or the entire weekend. Anyone have any leads on that I would be extremely grateful (not trying to threadjack;-)

So I go to Montreal or the past 10 years with the exception of Covid the last 2 years. Its been an uphill battle to get air fare and hotel this year and now tickets were sold out months ago.
Any suggestions where I can buy tickets? 2 seating and 2 general admission would be ideal.
    Thanks

I would try the F1 Expereinces website, last I checked last week they had two seats including Hotel. Not cheap, but all hotels are charging minimum 4 nights stay. Plus average rates for the average hotels are around 700-1000 per night. They really are taking advantage to say the least, but it is what it is today.

Vividseats.com has different grandstand tickets still available from around $760pp for 3-day pass.

So my conveniently located hotel right atop the metro relocated our rooms to an Airport hotel because they were asked to take in Ukranian Refugees. I am happy they found us an option at same rates despite the inconvenience to get to and from the track now.

Seems that the Canadian GP this year is sold out. So getting tickets at this point will be like trying to score tickets for a Led Zeppelin reunion. ;)
And yes, hotels will milk it, especially after taking it in the groin during the Covid19 lock down of the last two years.
So bring cash and lube. ;)

I have a last-minute opportunity to attend the Montreal race. Looking for three grandstand tickets (race day only would be fine) if anyone here has extras or is unable to go. Thanks in advance for any help!

Which site? If they took your money there must be some recourse.

When I sold my tickets through ticketmaster for the Miami GP they removed them from my account automatically once they were sold.

Ya, couldn't find any in the usual sites like stubhub or ticketmaster - used a European one called Viagogo. They have a tonne of negative reviews, which in hindsight - I should have done a PPI on the ecomm site before buying :). I just got the e-tickets emailed to me. Hoping they work at the event - don't see a way to verify them without being original purchaser.

Get there early and make sure yours are scanned in before the next guy arrives with the same ones;-)

Well it all worked out great, and had a great time with my son (first time to event). Race day weather was made-to-order perfect and race was exciting, with Ferrari doing very well, especially considering LeClerc's start. Parking on the Longuil South University metro station on the last day turned out brilliant for getting in and out, opposite monster crowd direction. Thanks for all of the tips.

    Glad you enjoyed yourself.
It’s ashame Friday’s weather wasnt great but I am sure you made the best of it.
I been going to Montreal for the past 10 years and recently can bring my son now too since he is 21.
I am sure you will agree that no matter what the weather is the time you spend with your son on such an epic trip and weekend is something he will never forget. Well done!!
