    WOW! This is the greatest site on the web. Antony congrats on making this all happen. F-chatters, kudos to you all for helping a brother out. Antony, I'm sure if you can't find a friend to video this for you one of the UK chatters would be happy to help out and if you don't mind posting the vid.     Many thanks for your reply and I noticed that I forgot to include our telephone number when I wrote to you earlier.... ############## is the internal UK number, but I'm not sure what you have to dial up from the US.

    My neighbour, Peter, was kind enough to send the photos for Nan and I for you , and just in case there is any need to clarify which are which , I'll list below:

    The one of Carol was taken fairly recently and shows her grinning her head off!!!!

    The three together show Sara about a couple of years ago - she is now very tall ( like you) and strikingly beautiful as she grows toward maturity.

    The two girls at the wedding are your aunts Sandy (the Bride) and Sarah.

    The group are all your Aunts and Uncles taken about 15 years ago - it is practically impossible to get them all together for a group so this will have to do. Ray, our eldest, is
    in the light blue jumper and David is in the bluegrey sweatshirt. Your mum is behind him with her hands on his shoulders and next to her is Aunt Sandy, who was pregnant with 'Binker' (NIcholas ******* to be more formal!! ) then comes Aunt Georgia and finally the babe of the family, Aunt Sarah.

    Yes, Sara has always known about you and there are pictures of you as a toddler in their lounge ..... it will be so exciting for her to meet her brother as a grown man. We take notice of what you say regarding the time/dates element of your trip and and obviously will work around your dates. Everyone will be back in England by the latter part of August, and they will all be desperate to meet you , as over the years we have many times discussed how to try and find you, as I said before, Nan even tried the Montel Williams Show and Tricia Show here in the UK.

    The reason why we are trying to keep things confidential is so that we can maintain the whole element of surprise ..... and what a wonderful 18th birthday present you will be for Sara!! Bye the way, we wish you a very belated Happy Birthday for the 21st just gone

    Ask your Dad if he remembers the Watergate Hotel in Cornwall and him and Carol frightening the life out of us by banging on the caravan windows on the Isle of White in the middle of the night!!

    My sister found me as well on the Genesreunited website where we both signed up. I just booked a flight to Ireland to meet my family there. My sister who lives in London will be coming over as well.

    Wow, this is such a great story. I'm so happy for you, Antony. I'm sure this will be such an amazing, unforgettable experience.

    My father was married to someone and had a son before he married my mother and they lost touch. We weren't reunited until I was about 12 and my brother was 21. It's a good thing it happened when it did because my father passed away two years later. My brother and I are very close now and I'm so grateful for our relationship. I hope that you find the same happiness in being reunited with your mom and your sister. :)

    Exactly, but just because he hadn't heard from her or her side of the family doesn't mean they weren't looking for him. Initial loss of communication is questionable, but without knowing the details no one can say for sure whose fault it was. The point is that family is family.

    In MY family we lost touch with my brother for about 15 years. As it turned out, he was looking for us just as much as we were looking for him. Neither side gave up and now we've been reunited. It wasn't because my dad didn't want to find him, he couldn't because my brother's mom moved so many times and got remarried. He still lives in Connecticut but we keep in touch and he actually just came to visit a couple weeks ago. Our dad has passed on but we still have each other, we are family. I grew up as an only child and it's very important to me that I have him because I don't really have anyone else with the exception of my mother.

    The point is, that is his mother and no one should pass judgment or be so indifferent about the situation. I think it's wonderful that he has managed to find her. As long as he goes with an open mind I'm sure it will be a very positive experience. If he does find out that she chose not to care and she really isn't a nice person, which I doubt, then it's his decision to keep contact or just go home and continue life as it was without her. At least if he meets her he can have the satisfaction of knowing that he did everything he could to find her. :)

    Wow parker that was a bit rough. Regardless of the circumstances Antony wants to see his mother. He has questions that he will ask her and if they continue to have a relationship after that it is up to him. I commend him on his choice and your option is the easy way to approach the situation.
