I've been there 2 years ago. It's very nice, much nicer than a visit to commercial maranello.

Lamborghini set up a nice museum, from there you can look into the assembly hall. When I was there I didn't notice any restrictions, it's even free of charge. Don't know if it still is like that.

I did notice a lot of audi's with german plates on the parking lot.

Bologna is really neat for a long weekend - the Lambo factory needs booking and is about 45 minutes out of town - the tourist office has a brochure of local car sites except most also need pre-booking !

From that area I would also highly recommend going to spend some time on Lake Como. When I did the Ferrari Factory Tour, we stayed in Maranello Wed & Thur night for the tour, then Fri and Saturday night up on Como. It was a fantastic trip, and I love that part of Italy so much more than the tourist packed cities like Rome. Also, you could check out the Cinque Terre, thats beautiful also.

    Sugestions /

    - drive always with light, even during the day - its a law in Italy and they will charge you if you don`t!
    - 1 orange emergency vest for each passenger/driver - its a law in Italy and they will charge you if you don`t have them in the car!

BTW, we (International Lamborghini Owners Club www.iloc-ev.de ) will be there for our annual drive out between 21.-25. June. 23. June is our factory tour in Sant`Agata and later we will drive to Pagani S.p.A. for a tour.

    Best & Enjoy

When you are at the Lambo factory drive around the factory building. When I was there last September I could see some Lambo's who didn't survive the crash tests and there are also finished cars to see at the back.

When you are in the neighbourhood: contact Pagani and ask if it's possible to make a factory tour. I was there two weeks ago. It's a small factory but very nice to see some Pagani's being made.

Don't try to get drunk in Bologna: last time I had to pay EUR 6,- for a beer...
