I am going to be in Las Vegas at the end of April. In this boards opinion what is the nicest italian restuarant, and the best steakhouse? Also what show would you see? I have been to "O" at Bellagio and though it was great!

    Thanks, Matt!!

I went recently and saw Love and Le Reve. Both are excellant shows but if you are a Beatles fan you have to go to Love. Best show ive ever seen. le Reve was also very well done. I also suggest the VIP packages for each...not that much more cash and worth it.

As for Steak houses...I am a fan of Craftsteak at MGM and SW at the Wynn. Only Italian place Ive been to is Fiamma Tratoria in MGM and its quite good.

which hotel are you staying at? when i was there, we went to pf changs, (i know, not the nicest place in the world, but still...) and it wasn't all that bad. back then though, they weren't as commercial, and there weren't any in st. louis. my parents just got back a couple of weeks ago from there, and saw one of the cirque du soleis shows, where everything was put to beatles music, and they said it was great, pricey, but still a great show.

on a side note, other things to consider, (mainly from what i did, but keep in mind i wasn't 21 at the time when i went)
doing one of the rides on top of the stratosphere, i did the one that shoots you straight up and brings you back down, i've got a picture of it from when i did it, and i rarely get scared, but the look on my face is priceless, :)
check out some of the free shows as well, they're pretty cool, like the show at ceaser's palace, and definitely the pirate show in front of treasure island.
along the food line, remember, this is the city where you can eat cheaply too, if you have a bad day at the tables, shrimp cocktails for a buck, 2 foot long hot dogs for 2 bucks, cheap buffets, etc.
have fun! i'll get back there eventually, now that i'm 21 though, i think it'll be more expensive of a trip then the last time i went, :D

We are staying at the Bellagio in the Bellagio Suite. I have been to LV many times before, the last time about 9-months ago. That city changes so fast I was wondering if anything new had opened that I should know about.

Which night club is the best? I was thinking of going to Tryst at the Wynn.

Try Gallaghers at NYNY if you never have before, many great steakhouses in LV but this is one of my favs....I like LAX, Rum Jungle, and Tryst...Pure is okay if you have never been but otherwise hyped up and played out.

Tryst is gorgeous. You'll probably want some kind of help getting in though, otherwise you'll be waiting in line half the night. I am friends with someone who runs an event-planning company in Vegas who could help...PM me if you want her contact info.

I had a blast at LAX, too (I went there and to Tryst about 3 weeks ago). Rumor has it that they're hurting, so they were giving wristbands to all of the girls so they could drink for free. Only in Vegas.

Prime - is awesome for steak (at Bellagio IIRC). Nine at the Palms is really good and a good vibe. We will be eating there in May. SW at the Wynn is good and so is Craftsteak at the MGM. But I'd take the first two.

Are you going to be another tourist walking around lookin for the tigers and the lame pirate show?

or are you going to gamble and party and win enough money to impress some girls (hookers)

what exactly is the point of your visit?

Im saying this because vegas is ****ing BORING if you are staying there longer than 3 days.. and during the day there isnt **** to do unless you know someone local.

Clubs are over ****ing rated by a mile - I wouldnt go back to Jet if they paid me. Tryst is great but if you are not hooked up (and i dont mean some dude on the chat room telling you he knows a dude who knows a dude) then you better show up early (10:30-11) or with at least 4-5 CUTE girls.

Half of the chicks in the club are hooking, the other half is fine (if not too old).. money in vegas is a joke - it isnt real. If spent more money in one night than all month before..and won more than 2 months combined - but next to the next guy its **** (dont know your situation so IMO only)

Honestly, it is about the company you have and little things - I had a great time, but like i said - really easy to drop $250 on a club and have a ****ty time.

dont go anywhere near stratoshpere unless you want to get shot or buy meth

Hahaa.... tell us how you really feel. I do agree with 95% of this though. And you're right - you have to watch out for the girls who are looking to get paid for their "services." It's stupidly easy to spot them though. And I've never spent 250 bucks going to a club. I always get drinks at the casino beforehand ($1 ea for tip), plus whatever cover the club charges. You do have to watch out for the drinks at the club though - I've seen $17 long islands.

And for the record, I don't know some dude who knows some dude. I am friends with a girl who owns a promotional company in Vegas and does this for a living.

Oh, and it doesn't matter that there is nothing to do during the day. When you're up until 5am partying, you spend all day sleeping anyway.

La Reve' is an amazing show! Definitely get the VIP Package too. You get a bottle of champagne for the show. Our waitress brought us a whole nother bottle too because our last 2 glasses were a bit warm. I would highly suggest this show! The Wynn is a very nice hotel as well. We stayed there but would not again. The service was nothing to write home about. The rooms no doubt were spectacular but like I said, the service was not that great. They even charge you $10 to get into the Ferrari dealership unless you own a Ferrari ad can show proof of ownership.

An excellent restaurant that we go to everytime we are there is Samba brazilian churascaria in the Mirage Hotel. All you can eat of about 10 different types of meat. MMMMM Meat!
