My wife and I are going to try and go to Monza this year. Is stand 4 a good place to sit? Can you see one of the giant TV's? It says you can on the ticket sites but when I look at the track map it looks like the nearest giant screen TV is pretty far away. We wanted to sit across from the pits but want to at least be able to see the TV to see what's going on in other parts of the track. Any tips would be great. We've never been to that track. Thanks

I sat just before the start/finish line, and could see the large TV just fine. I sat very high, and had a good view of the pits. Really funny thing, there were no vertical isles in the stand. Going down to go for a drink, or the restroom required a lot of shoulder tapping and "scuzie's".

Monza is a though one for the audience: Basically you watch them go right to left all the time. No good views really.

For that reason I sat across pitlane so I could at least watch the pit action. Get seats high up as their catch fences are ridiculously high.

Not to rain on your parade, but I'd never go back to Monza for a GP.

I enjoyed my seats at the first chicane on the outside of the track. I don't remember if there was a TV or not. It provided a great place to watch them try to out brake each other and then accelerate out of the turn. I hope to go back in the next year or two.

Make sure you take the time to check out the old banked track. You can walk under it. It is a piece of history not to be missed.

But park your car outside the track, and as close to the perimeter of the park as you can get. I had press parking adjacent to the pits. After the race, it took two hours just to drive out because of all the pedestrians exiting. So it is better to walk a bit to your car, and exit more promptly.

There are usually displays inside the track you should check out. When I was there, you could not walk up to a ticket booth to buy Friday tickets. You had to wait at a gate for a ticket salesman to come out, and hopefully he had enough tickets for everyone waiting. Not sure if that is still the practice.

Not the best spectator track, but so full of history and tifosi, I would go back any time.
