Forgive my ignorance just curious. I see a lot of 308 rebuilds where they have deleted the dual distributor setup and gone with a single distributor on the rear bank.

Is this simply to make it easier to tune? Or is there some other benefit to this?

Dual distributors will have slightly different advance curves. This can cause some uneven acceleration.

For injected cars it wouldn't matter.

Front distributor? I have a couple S127s and was thinking of putting one on the front bank of my GTB for the single source advance and no secondary nonsense.
