This might not be the right venue to pose this question, but my wife and I'll will be in Venice for a few days in October and I'm wondering about a trip to the factory. I'd sure appreciate any help I could get on this. Does Ferrari ownership confer any perq's here? I've got my nomex on if anyone wants to flame me for posting this query here. thanx steve meltzer "never enough time to do it right, always enough time to do it over"

Just returned from a factory visit last week. I must say the factory campus is enormous and the guided tour was quite the mind bending experience.

Ownership is absolutely required and admission must be arranged well in advance through an authorized dealer. No perks involved, just the basic first requirement.

We saw much more than I expected and everything we saw was fascinating or better. Even several current F1 areas and cars were included along with most major street car production areas. Well worth the trouble of getting it arranged and making it happen. I will definitely do it again if/when the opportunity arises.

Unless you are somehow related to an automotive supplier for road cars or F1
I met several people on "the tour" last year who did not own a Ferrari. One owned several car dealers and performance shops in TX, another worked for Bridgestone.

To the OP.... if you can not get a tour (it is tough, at least for the little guys like me), still go to Maranello. The factory museum is great, eat at Cavallino or Montana's, maybe rent a car from a private vendor (I rented a 458), just "be there".... Spend 24 hours there. Well worth it!

I'm heading to Milan on July 27th. When I called Ferrari of North America I was informed that the last tour of the season is on July 26th. There's always "next time" I visit Italy, but who knows if I'll still be a Ferrari owner next time I go to Italy. Oh well. Now I'm looking into the other manufacturer's museums and tours.

Apparently, Ferrari is closed for the month of August. But August, for them, starts in July.

Hmmmm. I'll be there in Mid October. Wonder how this will play out and if the tours will be still given then. Is owning a vintage car adequate to be considered a Ferrari owner?? Proof? Also wonder if the "Classiche" tour is different than the factory? thanx. s

Apparently the tour request has to be submitted by your local dealer on your behalf. I would hope that vintage ownership would count (mine is a 1995 F355. not vintage, but not new).
