Time to check out the new facilities. Maybe I can get them to fix my Alfa's rear trunk latch. Not sure when but about 11 if anyone is interested in showing up. I plan to be at SEMA on Thursday. Anyone interested in meeting there let me know.
I was thinking of 10:30-11 but I can change that. I'll probably have breakfast at the Peppermill and then heading over.
4c. All Alfa's are a love/hate relationship , but there's a lot to love about this little car. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I spent most of the morning at Towbin Ferrari/Maserati today, saying hello to old friends who are still busily working on customer's Ferrari's and Maserati's. It's located in the Rolls Royce/ Bentley shop -- which years ago used to be a Hummer dealership. You can tell it's a work in progress but it seems like Towbin's goal is to have a first class Ferrari dealership when it's finished. Right now the temporary showroom looks pretty like a temporary showroom. Those who remember "the palace" at Wynn will be pretty disappointed. But, give it time. And, it's the people who really count, not the fancy floors or decorations. I didn't count but it looked like about 12 cars, of which two were 458 Speciale's. Some good news is that it appears that new allocations for cars will go up under the new management and that there will be a large number of 488 spiders included in that. So, count me in!
I was at Towbin two weeks ago. I might have been the last guy to have my 458 serviced at Wynn. It was a bit concerning watching the truck pull out of my driveway heading 1,000 miles down the road to a dealer that was in the process of closing, but all worked ok just fine due to some great people. The GM even called me to reassure me of the status of my car. As the Mayor said the facility is nothing special when it comes to the Ferrari "showroom". In fact the showroom is a bit like a converted garage. But the people are what it is really about, starting with Rick and team. I am also very, very impressed with the new management, clearly a big upgrade from Wynn. I spent about 2 1/2 hours picking up my car and chatted with everyone from the GM to the detailer to the receptionist. Not a jerk among them! The GM did mention they had on order overhead permanent sun covers for customer cars in for service. I for one will be saying with Towbin. Brad
I have been there a few times and everyone there was very nice and helpful. They definitely did move from uptown to downtown though......no 2 ways about that. Car: 2013 Ferrari 458 Spider- Daily Driver
Most important thing to me was that Rich and all the technicians was there. The Ferrari rep was also there and we talked for a while, one of the things we talked about was overhead permanent sun covers. Can't imagine leaving the cars out there in the summertime without being covered. Rich of course said it was being taken care of, so I'm pretty happy. Going back next week to have all the fluids checked. Cheers,
Glad to hear the rear lot for cars will have covered parking soon. I too was concerned about that. Actually, I'm surprised that Rolls Royce and Aston Martin owners have put up with it all this time and it took the Ferrari owners to get this changed there!
