Wynn Buffet is the one everyone talks about right now - I've been a few times and it's great. Also, Wynn's show Le Reve is spectacular. I've seen it twice; friends who have seen most of the Cirque de Soleil shows say it's better than the Cirque productions (the director/producer was a Cirque exec IIRC). If you're getting a drink, check out the singing frog in the waterfall too. The Ferrari boutique there has some great (albeit pricey) clothes too. Bring your keys if you want free admission to the dealership area (otherwise they charge money).

Chris Angel has a live magic show starting but I'm not sure where, you'd have to Google that.

I concur, you can't go wrong with the Wynn buffet. The only places I don't like at Wynn are its coffee shop, Red 8, Bartolotta and Wing Lee all of those are just average at best. Although I haven't seen it, the Criss Angel show has been given horrible reviews across the board, the only ones that seem to love it are the diehard fans. I guess what it comes down too is he's not an entertainer that can command the stage, he's a street performer and you can't take a guy off the street and make him Sammy Davis Jr., it don't work that way. If you like magic in the true classical sense, you're better off seeing Lance Burton.

I got in at Wynn for nothing by just telling them I was an owner. They didn't ask for anything for proof. I asked to see a sales person. I think it's 10 bucks to get in if you're not an owner. I personally believe the 10 bucks is just to keep the average tourists from filling up the showroom. I get my car serviced at Wynn.

The good news for you is this week in Vegas will be in the low 70's (23C). The bad news is we may get some rain this week.

Shows I heard good things about these shows from many sources: Love and O. I don't think you can go wrong. The Chris Angel thing has been getting some pretty tough reviews as it's just opened at Luxor.

Best buffets: Wynn and Rio. I've heard good things about the Breakfast Buffet at Paris but I've not been there.

Here's an application you can download to an Iphone if you have one. It's everything you wanted to know about Vegas in one little package.

    http://www.ratevegas.com/iphone

You can get any kind of information about anything just a few clicks away. It's great if you're running around town (and having fun of course) and want to know where to go next.

Here's a demo that shows how it works:

    Hope this helps!

Rio wasn't good, was just there for SEMA, Wynn is excellent. For shows check out "LOVE" and "O". Both were fantastic.

I always stop by the Ferrari dealership at the Wynn, but two weeks ago I decided to check out the Lambo dealer in the new Palazzo. I loved the Reventon, but I was quite pleasantly surprised to see an F50 in the basement. It was between the CCX and the Saleen S7.

I can't go to Vegas without having dinner at Delmonico at the Venetian. I was there on business last year, ate alone at the bar. What a great steak.

Samba Brazilian Steakhouse at the Mirage is AMAZING! All you can eat meat cooked on an open flame and delivered to your table. La Reve at the Wynn is spectacular. Spring for the VIP seats though, we did and were blown away by the views and service. With the VIP seats your get two recliners with a television to see what goes on backstage and underwater and a bottle of Perrier Champagne. As far as service at the Wynn, I was not very impressed, but the rooms are beautiful. The buffet at the Wynn is also spectacular.

The Cirque show at the New York New York Hotel is great. Alot of toplessness but tastefully done. Well worth if for an adult show. Just for a mental thought, two asian females topless in a large champagne glass filled with water doing contortions all over each other! Now that is a show!

As far as free goes, cant beat a night of drinks at the bar overlooking the fountains at the Bellagio. The drinks are not free but the views and fountain show is.

Let us know how your trip was!

    Mike

Im flying the first week of January and celebrating my 18th while there, I remember I went to a restaurant at the Wynn that was excellent but can't remember the name, it was across from the steakhouse after you go down the escalator and it looks out over the water fountain, if anyone knows which it is I would really appreciate it.

Daniel Boulud - same as Daniel's in NYC. Never disappoints! Steakhouse is SW Steakhouse, also excellent. Alex at Wynn is also excellent.
