    Hello everyone,

I am working on the badges and chrome work of my Series 1 sebring 1655 and does anyone know what the plating is for the trident that goes on the trunk? Is it really gold plated or brass?

    Thanks,
    Chris

    Eugene,
Thanks for the help. I had read somewhere that they were gold but wasn't sure. I have a great plater in San Carlos, Industrial Plating that does all my clear cad, nickle and black oxide work that also does gold. Thanks again.

Hi Chris, I as Eugene stated the badge is gold plated, and the script is chrome. Most gold plate is very thin for obvious reasons. It doesn't tarnish but it does "errode" quickly. Don't wash it agressively after having it gold plated.

Here are some shots of the back of my badge with some of the gold plate remaining.

    Cheers!
