I have had many dealings with Stephan and he is a wonderful person to deal with but I think his color choice was very unusual but to me very bland. Black, Gold and silver do not in my opinion give a car the look at me that people desire. I suppose the one thing that makes any Mondial look 100 times better is do away with the wheels. Originality is one thing but you gotta look cool while driving. Don't get me wrong. Very cool car and looks good in the calendar.
Hey Fred, as usual it all boils down to personal taste Personally, I prefer putting things in their original configuration because I just love the looks of the early eighties and this color is just typical of that age.
beautiful car! Stephan, could you provide me the link to order the calendar? I can't find it on your webpage. Thanks for everything!
Hey Paul, They're sold out already... I ordered 50 copies and they were sold out in a couple of weeks. If there's enough demand I may order some extra copies. I'll let you know
I just made a trip of 80km from the Ferrari workshop to my place... Drives fantastic! The car is just superamazing and I'm experiencing things that I haven't before in a Mondial: - The heater works great, the heating switch is not just 0 or full, but the full range works! - Heat comes even out from the LH and RH vents on the dash! On the other hand, there are some minor things I need to solve - Repair the speedometer - Put a handbrake cable on it The looks the car got were very meaningful, stopped at a gas station and all people welking in and out of the shop gave me a thumbs up
Some extra things: - Comparison against the old spare wheel belt: close to perfect match! - Started coloring the interior by first testing it on the handbrake cover (work in progress) - not bad, is drying at the moment ! Finally received the data from Ferrari Classiche - officially! All data is confirmed and they also wrote that the original interior was in beige A3218, so I'm happy to hear the color is original and NOT black like I heard from another source.
Finally got hold of the correct 2-part handbrake cable that runs from the LH to the RH calipers - after a search of 1 month and wrong deliveries from the UK companies (they sent me a kit for a 308, which is 15cm shorter than for the Mondial).
tomorrow the big day: technical inspection! For Italian cars, they should check for oil loss. If there isn't any, that means there's no oil in the engine and it should fail the test LOL
Goldfinger passed the technical inspection today with lots of oohs and aaahs ... Champagne !!! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
