Nice 2010 599 HTGE with 100 miles just sitting at Continental in Hinsdale IL.
RARE 599 GTB WITH HGT-EVOLUTION PACKAGE. BLACK WITH BLACK LEATHER AND RED STITCHING, THE HGTE COMES WITH SPECIAL WHEELS, SPORT EXHAUST, SUSPENSION AND SHIFTING UPGRADES, AND RACING SEATS WITH LOADS OF CARBONFIBER AND ALCANTATA ACCENTS. OTHER OPTIONS INCLUDE SHIELDS, I POD CONNECTIOR, RED SEAT BELTS, AND SPECIAL STITCHING.

Has the promise of the 599 GTO killed the market for the older 599? It's not like it's November already with snow in the forecast...

Its the depreciation. Its a beauty but it will drop 70K by year end regardless of the miles. Thats a lot to eat in this economy unless its a keeper.

Is that big price hit an affliction of 12 cylinder models that are 4 years into their production run or will the 458 suffer a similar fate in a years time?

Thanks for the image of that black 599 Andrew!

My thoughts are that the resale on all exotics new or used going forward is pretty bleak. Since the recession began a lot of people stopped buying toys and those that do. Can no longer finance these cars like they used to. Especially when the prices for new ferraris continues to climb. More supply and less demand. Todays current depreciation levels are brutal. No matter how well you think you did on the frontend pricewise. I guarantee your going to lose big time on the backend when you need to sell. There is really is no place to hide in todays market. Unless maybe your in the market for a much older ferrari like a 308 that has hopefully already bottomed in price. Why buy new and take the first big hit? The longer you can put off the purchase the cheaper the price gets especially in a deflationary cycle. Most say that even the new 599 GTO will depreciate. How much and how fast seems to be the only question. This is a ferrari with 450K price tag, a 599 unit build and a GTO badge. If that car cannot maintain its value. I suggest maybe vintage is the only port left in this storm.
