Need a decent 3D printer for the lab under $10k. We develop cutting edge automotive components and need to turn around conceptual pieces quickly and cost effectively. Some are just to handle and show and others are actual working prototypes. Here are a few requirements:

-Good resolution (~0.025 mm on the Z plane minimum)
-Able to print a variety of materials including high strength, clear, high temp and thin wall sections
-Relatively quick. 50mm/hr would be ideal.

The best I have come up with is the Form 2 SLA (~$5,000 fully kitted) but it's too slow and requires new lower plates every 2 liters of resin. Other than that, it's a beautiful system.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

    I have many 3D printers from a Form2 to a Stratasys Eden 500

The Form 2 is your best bet for your price range.

I have a friend selling a 2 year old Stratasys Eden 260VS which is an amazing printer (I have one). He is asking $50k but Im sure he is flexible. Not $10k but maybe between $30-40k
