Hi all, I am thinking about selling my baby, 2001 california blue F1 360 modena spider with 9,000 miles on it. I am moving out of USA completely and I guess it is time to find a new owner for her. I am also selling my DINAN BMW M5 S1 2001 on carbon black color. If you guys are interested in it, please let me know.... This was first ferrari for me and I even thought about shipping it to Japan but I just think better to sell this USA model here in USA and get local model. Condition is mint and clutch has been replaced with new one at 8000 miles or so. I really do not want to let her go but I hope I can find someone who can take care of her. One day, I will come back here with new Ferrari! Image Unavailable, Please Login
I am still researching for resale price, to be honest with you... What's the best resources for Ferraris and others to see market value??
The Ferrari Market Letter has hundreds of Ferrari classified ads in each issue, where you can compare your car to others like it and see what other sellers (both private and dealers) are asking...
Tako-chan, glad to see yo uare alive. No love! Consign the car with the new dealership. Give it to Parris. --Dan
Dan-chan.. I miss the days I was having breakfast hugging you....NOT! I really miss my ferrari buddies in bay area... These days I had affair with bulls but thinking about coming back to horses. Come fly see me here in japan!
Tako, I just checked with a F dealer and my 2002 spider, 3500 miles, lots of options, was worth 155K in trade. Top retail maybe 175K and consignment net was maybe 165K. This is a red/tan spider. Al
Sounds like your dealer is trying to gouge you. Sell it private, I bet you will get close to your $175K. A friend of mine sold his 03 over $185k recently and I sold my 01 with more miles closer to your consignment mark.
Interesting, today I heard '01 wholesale numbers are going for as low as 130-140. Obviously higher miles, but... --Dan
Not a chance. Check with the local dealers - asking prices on 02 coupes with decent miles (sub 20k) are mid 150s to 160s. 01s are lower. --Dan
Here is one similar to yours....except for colors... $164k on ebay buy it now. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2001-Ferrari-360-F1Spider-with-only-8-771-miles_W0QQitemZ4615986056QQcategoryZ84156QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Yours is beautiful...I love the color...would love it better at $140k haha.
Way high, IMO. I can buy an 02 with 15k, a major, challenge everything, modulars, extended leather, power warranty and daytona seats for less than that. a lot less. And IMO that isn't a fantastic deal either. --Dan
Tako- I think to sell yourself in a reasonable amount of time (3-6 months) a fair price would be 150K-155K IMHO.
Lapeter, The values seem to be dropping fast, I remember you were saying a fair prices for 01-02 Spider in June were 180-190. now your saying 150-155... 30k in 8 months. I got 165 for my 01 with 8k heavily optioned in July.
Jim, Yes prices have dropped some, but in June of 05 a 2002 spider was 170-175K with 2-3K miles. One year older is about 10K less. This car has higher miles and could have more options. So it seems that prices have come down about 10K. Dealer asking prices are always higher. I track this closely as I will be selling my 2002 spider within a year, depending on when my 430 spider comes up. I think I am close. Al
I agree with Dan, prices are coming down a bit as more "higher" mieage cars are showing up on the market. A fair price for a nice 2001 is around 150 K I believe...especially since they are due for a belt change etc...
