    Hi all

After the trouble with the engine of my 599 GTB, I sold the car in October.
Sad, because I finished all the details I wanted to have to get the perfect 599 GTB.
GTO rims and grille, 6-1 headers, lowered, titanium bolts.

So I want to say thanks to all the great guys here.
Many help in case of problems, great conversations, great contacts over the hole world.

The last days I thought a lot about the next car I want to add to my 550 Maranello.
    Once again a 599 GTB ?
    F12 or 458 Speciale (which i never drove) ?
    812 ?

I watched some models online since a longer time, had the possibility to drive a F12 and a 812 SF one and two years ago.

After visiting some cars the last weeks (F12 and 812) I watched an incredible example in Rosso fuoco with full carbon (included engine bay) with only 1800 Km on the clock. While asking for some more informations about the car, I got offered another absolut gorgeous example.

812 SF in giallo Modena, 124 Km on the clock
    nearly full carbon outside/inside
    Daytona style racing seats
    very well specced

a dream, my dream since yesterday.
    :)

After 6 years I'm sure to follow the 599 section in the future, perhaps no often with comments, but as a reader.

    Daniel

    Daniel,

You got yourself a beautiful 812! Love the spec.

I'n sure with this one you won't need to change the headers.

Don't be a stranger, and be sure to post at this section once in a while.

    All the best,

    R

Daniel congratulations on your beautiful 812SF.
Its rather sad that you had to move on from your 599 given all the work you put in it and seemed to generally love the car. Do you mind sharing that was wrong with the engine or pointing me to the relevant thread if you already have done so.
    Thanks and congrats again.

    Hello at all

Yesterday i drove my new 812 SF for the first time.
120 km, now 250 km on the clock, absolute incredible.

Reved her not over 4500 rpm, first kms for learning this car.
Position of buttons and menues have to be learned, some new details inside the cockpit.

Throttle response is unbelievable, upshifts are incredible, downshift from another galaxy, steering is super sharp, 599 GTO rims and tire size at the frontaxle works fine.

The sound of this car is amazing, a little bit more raspy than the 599 with the 6-1 headers.
Loudness is like the 599 with the 6-1 with cats and the special silencers i had.

My 550 with Fabios 6-1 is similar with the sound, more raspy than the 599 with 6-1.

What a luck that i have not to change the headers, at this car it must be much more complex as at the 599.
    :)

    So my summary
    - the 599 with the 6-1 is nearly perfect, you do not need really more in the V12 Ferrari world
    - the 812 SF looks much better every time i see it
    - the 812 SF is from another Galaxy, the end of the evolution of a GT sportscar, hard to believe that there is much more possible
    - the combination of a 550 with 6-1 headers and the 812 SF is the most perfect match you can have

the 550, the modern manual shifted mid 90's Daytona
and the 812 SF, (perhaps) the last n/a V12 Ferrari GT, a technical masterpiece

Both with a sound to kneel down, both with a design which is hard to top.

    Daniel

    P.S.
But to be honest, i miss my 599 a little bit, it was the perfect car between these 2 i have now.

Daniel- I really like the 812 SF and glad you are enjoying her. May be the last Ferrari regular production non-turbo V12.
