Good clubs/lounges in LA?

    I'm coming out to LA today and staying downtown (JD Marriott). Its me and my buddy and our two hot girls. Can anyone here suggest some good nightclubs or swanky lounges to go to on Tuesday and/or Wednesday nights where we will not have to deal with too much line hassle or forced bottle service just to get in. Are there certain nights for certain good places? We like DJ and club music and our location is downtown area but we will likely take a cab up to sunset / hollywood boulevard area.

    I was there a few weeks ago for just one night and we stayed at Hotel Rossevelt, but it was Monday night and just me and my girl and the club would'nt let us in unless we got bottle service (it was just the two of us and I usually drink beer). This time there will be four of us so $300 for a table won't kill us, but if there are good places that dont have this bottle service only attitude, suggestions are welcome.

    I don't know LA very well b ut what a cool town. Thanks a bunch.

    Beautiful lounge bar and a choice of dining. No snobby bottle service.

    The Standard in Down Town LA or the Edison are 2 really great spots as long as you go early.

    Tuesday is good at the roxy, wed is good at drais to start then voyeur or, my favorite, beachers mad house that's at the rosevelt. I think you went to teddys before.

    I second this. Stay in downtown area and you'll be satisfied.
    The standard never fails. Best for afternoon drinks on the rooftop.

    I was at the Edison last weekend, cool place.

    not really a dance/DJ music club though (which is why I liked it)

    a bit too late to help the OP but on Wed i'd say Colony as you like dance music. Last night, Roxbury would have been the place to go as Oakenfold was spinning though on other tuesdays its more local house/open format djs there...
