    Hello all,

This last week one of my hard drives was corrupted. I lost almost all of the data on both my drives (at least 35+ gigs). I'm running Windows 2000.

Some of the data recovery programs I have run across don't restore the original name of the file, but assign a random name. Any suggestions for a good program to use that retains the original names?

    Thanks.

http://www.ontrack.com/ ontrack has some good, easy to use software. however if you have reinstalled or you are using the drive, every minute that passes, you will be least likely to recover.

I have some good software called GetDataBack.
It will even recover most files after a re-install. Its very good. I lost all my stuff last year and managed to recover about 90% of it using this software.
