I'm looking for a detailing shop of a bit higher caliber than the usual "hand dry" places in the Chicago suburbs. I do enjoy washing my cars myself, but never have time to do it properly, and would like to get a couple coats of Zaino applied to my Elise this coming spring.

    Any suggestions?

There might just be some place in Roselle that fits the bill :) If he doesn't chime in, a quick browse of the Chicago archives should turn him up pretty readily.

I'm in Tinley Park... but willing to drop the car off anywhere within an hour of home provided the shop's reputation makes the drive worthwhile.

They also usually have booths set up at some of the local,"Finer Automobile Shows".

Larry Emmons is a perfectionist, maybe more so than me! Your car won't leave his shop until HE say's it's right.

That's what I like to hear.

I'll definitely be giving them a call. FVMC actually mentioned them to me for some custom leather work I was going to get done a while back.

Emmons also has a photo album on the little table in the "showroom" with photographs of a bunch of the cars they have done right there at the shop. There are a few 328's and a Testarossa in that book.

He also markets some wonderful high-end cleaning and detail products. I've been very pleased with my purchases from the shop.
