Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone on the forums would know of a good F-car mechanic for my 360. I feel that FoO is WAY TOO expensive and they're always busy. Thanks in advance for your help.

I think that Tom Bakowsky should be chiming in soon. I don't know what he charges, but he's a great guy, and a great mechanic, or is that technician these days?

I know he's good, because he fixes all of the GTA's Countaches! :D

    Best,

    Joel

Hey Faz, good to see you back in town. I bring my TR to Tom also, its in the west end of town from where we are, but he's very hands on and tells it like it is. No stories, no mistakes, and he knows his stuff. Ive been very happy since he started taking care of my car.

If you want the real deal, go see Tony @ Lamborghini Toronto, he's only been working on F-cars for 20 years, he was trained at the factory and had worked at Ferrari until a few years ago, IMO he is simply the best.

Ragin bull is right. Tony is the very best. My buddy has owned his ferrari for 17 years and went through every mechanic in the city until he met Tony. Now he is rebuilding his 308 for him ground up and when I saw it in the middle stages a few weeks ago, I would have to say that it will be better than when it came from the factory.

I did manage to go to dinner with the other Canadian last night. Apparently our office manager bought a rough Daytona for cheap a year ago and still can't seem to get it running. I might to see if they want to, uh, just dump the entire problem on me. I promise to give them a realistic price, given that it is not a running car and has no other value whatsoever....

I found a nice 512TR, a 94 model in red, they are asking about 180,000 Dh, or about CDN$60,000 for it. I may negotiate downwards, as 360 modenas are about C$90,000 here and they are pretty common. Jay, can I send you 456 in the mail?

Ironically, there is a lipstick pink diablo VT convertible in ROUGH shape here, the guy won't even tell me the price, but he uses it to block the entrance to his showroom as it is nice and wide. Very funny, if I wasn't at a internet cafe, I'd post the pics. When I saw it (and what it was being used for) I almost fainted.

    Cheers,

    John
