good free video editing program?

    I need a good free video editing program (for Windows), anybody know of any? I have Avidemux which lets you crop the movie and adjust colors and basic things like that, but no special effects and I can't figure out how to put music on top of a video, etc.

    Windows Movie Maker allows you to put music over a video, and other little things too. Its free and comes preloaded with XP.
