Great pics. You must know James "JJ" Johnson. He's a new friend and neighbor to me at Eagle's Nest in Midlothian. Great guy and pilot, my wife just went to his 9,999.9 hr party last week.

I'm quite surprised you guys haven't met, the T-28 crowd can't be too numerous. He's retired Air Force like you, believe he flew F-4 Wild Weasel's and the F-117's. We'll have to get together for lunch or something, I'll bring JJ in my 308 and I can listen to you 2 fighter jocks swap stories.

I believe that's a Saab 340B that Airborne Imaging http://www.airborneimaging.net/ purchased to augment their DC-3's.

Reason I thought you two would know each other is that he was part owner of a T-28 based at Grand Prairie, just got out of it a few months ago though.

    This one, I think.

I don’t know him. I’ve only been flying these T-28s for 7-8 months and he’s not in our group, that I know of, so other than my DPE, I don’t know anyone. Looks like he flew with our two planes on his wing...was likely at Lancaster a couple weeks ago for the Red Star Pilots Ass. Formation clinic. The only other T-28 there was the Fennec from Arizona. But I wasn’t there, so not really certain.

Funny. Someone was getting a check ride in that plane yesterday doing a couple full stops and takeoffs at Mid-Way.

I was mistaken, JJ is now a part owner of 654. Not him being interviewed.

654 is the one I saw last weekend doing a check-ride at Mid-Way. Pretty plane...way prettier than ours. We fly ours several times a day for about 9 months a year...so they get well worn.
