I am constantly searching models sites, Ebay, etc for models. At any given time on Ebay US there are hardly any UT models for sale. Whenever new models are introduced there are almost always released overseas first. A search of Ebay UK, Ebay Germany, etc always returns many UT and many great models--Why?? Is the model culture that much greater in other countries? Of course either the seller won't ship to the US or the shipping is so great that the purchase isn't worth it...Right now there are at least 20 models in Ebay UK and Ebay Germany that I would love to buy,but not worth the extra shipping costs. Did model companies release alot more models to the UK , etc than the US? Of course with the exchange rate of the GBP and Euro against the dollar certainly doesn't help us Americans...Very curious????

This is because you are searching Ferraris. Try to find Chevy Impallas and Camaros on E-bay Germany and you are going to have the same problem in reverse. I mean c'mon we are in a country where NASCAR is the number one sport, so what do you expect?

When I search it is for specific models, 355, 360, etc--not F1---There are more Ferrari owners in NA than any other country in the world.. I find about the same amount of listings but in the US I find HW--overseas I find the UT's and Bang, etc.... I started collecting the 1/43 355 Challenge cars also. I think I may of found 3-4 in the US--the other 15 I bought all came from the UK..

There are dozens of companies in France and Italy making interesting hand made models in 1/43rd scale that no one in the US imports..
