I was given an assignment today in my argumentation class and what I would have to do is find a good topic to well, argue about. It would have to be relating to the status quo...arguing about the opposite about it...ex: why you can get parking citations for parking backwards. Man, I have had so many difficult assignments, this seems to be the simplest of all but I can't think of anything really to argue about. Maybe I need to take a break and stop thinking so hard on it for a little while. I'm sure the F Chat wizards can help me on this one.

You need to find a clear benefit to the change, or a clear harm in keeping the status quo, and focus your arguments around achieving that benefit or mitigating that harm.

    hope this helps

Why did you post this twice?

And if we're going to help you with your homework, it's going to have to be more interesting than this.

    Opposite of status quo topics:

    * why you should buy a $200K exoticar on credit and no assets
    * why the internet shouldn't be "free"
    * why the US should nuke Iran
