    Hi all,

A nice tin can came bouncing across 85 on my way back from Road Atlanta over the weekend. Decided to take a bounce across the hood as well. Needless to say, I have 3 nice little gouges out of the paint on it now, will require the hood to be sprayed. I want this thing to look perfect when it is done. I've heard about the folks in Tucker (good work, takes a long time) Any other experiences to speak of in metro Atlanta? I don't want this thing to languish in a paintshop for more than a week or so.

    Thanks.

I had a door panel repainted after it was damaged while the car was being shipped from CA. I took it to the Ed Voyles body shop in Marietta and they did a fine job, for exactly what the shipping company's check was for.

Bo Pirkle, 770.939.6982. He's the only one to trust with any neded paint & body work! If you let him know when you need the car, he will get it done prior to that date. But, remember, a quality job is not always the quickest way to go...just the best.

Is this another plug for "Bo Pirkle"? Every few weeks, the same questions on paint come up, and Bo ends up getting the same plug.....My 2 cents worth, he isn't all that great, I've heard some stories on the guy, not to mention my encounter with him a few years back when I actually considered him for a paint job, which turned out to be a mistake....Any high end body and paint shop with good hands and experience will do just fine, Ferraris are just cars afterall, they are not gold plated space shuttles......

Bo is much better than just your average run of the mill paint and body shop. If you need a section of bodywork fabricated to match the original to perfection or you need a complicated chassis section that is rusted badly properly repaired or you need some really difficult figure out Ferrari body issue corrected... Bo is the guy.

That said, If you just need some simple body repairs and paint work I agree that lots of places can do it. On a late model car where the factory paint is easily matched and no panels need replacing, I would call Sports and Imports. You could also use Flashback, they do good work. I dont know if I would use Bo for this type of routine body repair because he is so slow.

Dates and delivery commitments with Bo are a relative thing. If you say "I need it by Oct. 10" he may just assume you mean 2005..... ;) Seriously, he is SLOW and totally lacking in forward planning skills. But he does do great work.

Bo is also a very nice guy and he is fair. He is not crazy expensive and he does stand behind his work. He doesnt get it 100% right the first time every time, but if its not right he will work on it until it is.
