Good place for Auto-X/Drag in SOCAL?

    Hi there. Any of you gentlemen happen to know of a good place to do 1/4 mile drag and skidpad driving around the L.A. area? I've looked at airstrips and such, but I can't seem to find a good place. Willow isn't good for drag and their skidpad is half the size that we need. El Toro is too expensive, Fontana isn't willing... Any ideas? Thanks in advance! -John

    What do you have in mind that California Speedway isn't willing? If we had an idea, might be better able to assist. I find it off they are not willing as they are home to many magazine shootouts on the 1/4, skid pad, or private infield rentals. Not to mention the coneheads doing their parking lot thingi there every month.

    A bit further south in San diego, our local clubs use the parking lots of the Q stadium.
    There is a drag strip and multiple parking lots on which we do DEs or Autocrosses.

    That place in San Diego sounds great, unfortunately we need a place closer to L.A. Fontana/Cal Speedway was great, but they repaved all their lots and are thus limiting our activities. We need a 1/2 mile strip for accel/decel testing and a 500ft. x 700ft. skidpad for other vehicle dynamics. Somewhere like Pomona's parking lot would be great if it didn't cost too much. Anyway, thanks for the ideas so far and please keep 'em coming!
