    I need suggestions for the best possible red wine that I can find for a last minute Christmas gift...Thanks

    ps-I looked at 4 liquor stores and all they had was $4-$8:rolleyes:

    Murcie, if you don't mind going cheap you can pick up a McMannis (sp?) Cabernet that will wow the newbie and won't offend the palate of the experienced for a whopping $12 or so....

    I like antinori santa christina. it is 90% sangiovese/10% merlot. I give it to people who don't drink wine a lot and they seem to like it.

    You can't go wrong with any French Red wine, They have great wines in the range of $8 to $10 If you want to pay more for so-called popular years then you will have to spend $15 to $30. In my opion they all taste the same wine is wine Just like beer beer is beer

    Peter, I was out there year before last. Friendly people & some darn fine Zin!

    I like their Cigar Zin best (even though I don't smoke).
