Gang, Performing a little testing with the trusty multimeter revealed that actually my spark plug wire #5 is fine, but the boot is toast. I ordered a loom of Kingsborne plug wires ($30) and plan to install them but now I need to find a new plug boot for cylinder #5. I looked on the Kingsborne site and no compatible boots came up -- at least none one could buy by itself. There was, of course, an option to buy a complete set of plugs and wires for $700 but I've already got the wire and the other boots appear to work fine. It's Sunday so Kingsborne is closed. Otherwise, I'd call and see if they'd sell me a sole boot but was wondering if the collective fraternity had other ideas about where I can get a working boot. Let me know if you have ideas. thanks. ketel ketel Image Unavailable, Please Login
If you can't find just the boot consider buying a single wire ferrari 355 wiring | eBay Then you can either us the wire of just the boot with your new wire.
OK, checked with Kingsborne. They can't (or won't) sell individual Beru spark plug boot connectors. They will, however, sell you the entire set...which, of course, I do not need. Any other ideas to source individual spark plug boot connectors other than eBay or the salvage yards? ketel
Don't know of a single option buy you can get a complete new set for about $475 from Superformance Ignition Parts for Ferrari 355 - Superformance
If I recall, the part # is on the boot. Kingsbourne may not sell it but someone else might. Try googling the part #
I have just changed all my leads and boots for brand new ones. I still have my old leads, they have good boots, kingsborns as it happens. If you want one and you pay for the shipping from the UK, ones yours. There only going to be binned. The option is there.Genuine offer. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I have the stock wires and I looked at the boots yesterday. The wires are continuously molded to the boot and does not seem to gracefully disconnect from the boot. It can be destructively removed, but not reusable. Whatever you have, Ketel, is different from mine.
