Hey guys I've finally decided to upgrade my wheels and I appreciate the answers to my previous thread about ride quality vs. Stock. Now I want to get some input on wheel choices. I don't care to spend 10-15k on a set of wheels so although I wanted to go with the HRE( I loved the p40s and p/s101-that's my taste of wheels) I just don't want to budget that much on these. I'm leaning towards a dark gray/gunmetal color but also like black. Someone told me DPE sells wheels in that range that kind of copy HRE but idk??

I like the factory sport option wheels(I have the standard) but it seems those even go for about 5k so I'm considering aftermarket. Has anyone spent around this much and gotten a quality/nice looking wheel or is this a hopeless endeavor and should I just go ahead and buy a set of sport wheels off of eBay? Anyone considering selling their dark gray/black sport wheels?

Thanks in advance, and troll me if you want about being cheap on my wheels lol...I have thick skin! Houston just has terrible roads and I would be really pissed if I ruined a set of 15k wheels!!

For the price, I think you'd be hard pressed to find a better wheel. The BBS forged FI's perhaps, but they are 3-4k more.

Have you looked at the Speciale wheels?

DPEs are properly light and TUV certified but in my experience their finishing leaves something to be desired (visible machining marks as well as dust and bubbles in the powder coating). Their after service sales also doesn't seem to care.

Had much better experiences with HRE (worth the premium in my opinion and retain their value if its a common offset / width / pattern) and OZ...even their less expensive wheels have an OEM level finish.

Look at Ferr of Atlanta's site there is a Rossi corsa 458 with black speciale rims that belonged to a friend of mine.
