This weekend is the last time we see the Bridgestones. Given how crucial tires are for performance my crystal ball says they will be the biggest influence on next years championship.

And which team has the most experience with Pirelli and had a close relationship all these years? ;)

I am glad to see Pirelli in F1.

Pirelli is an historical tyre manufacturer who has been involved in motor racing almost from the begining.

It's good to see an Italian, an European tyre maker involved after the Goodyear and Bridgestone years.

You mean despite the fact that so many Ferrari road cars are not stock equipped with Pirelli's? Should be an interesting first year with them. Looking forward to testing next week

I think I read many years ago, that Enzo Ferrari refused to have anything to do with Pirelli because of some pre-war argument with them.

My memory maybe confuse, but I think Pirelli provided some of the capital for the initial Scuderia Ferrari - Alfa unofficial race team then - in Modena and they fell out later when Ferrari tried to buy the shares back.

Being a man bearing grudges, I wouldn't be surprised if that was the reason why he prefered to eqwip his cars with Englebert, Michelin, Dunlop and Firestone tyres for a long time.

I think it's cool to have the great Italian firm in F1. Of course all we need now is some conspiracy weenies to claim they will somehow help Ferrari.
