my 07 gt3 was just picked up today to go to its new home at ruf of dallas, tx. i had a 4 yr lease that was about to end next month but ruf contacted me through a fchat post i made looking for someone to buy out the lease early. they paid porsche financial services and got a 20000 mile, no stories car. sales manager, jon peck was very easy to deal with and i highly recommend him

sad to see it go and i will miss the sound of 8500 rpm but in coming 2012 gtr and 1971 jaguar xke roadster will help me get over it!

Nice car. I look forward to seeing it soon (I live close to RUF).

What color is your GT-R going to be?

Dark grey with light grey interior. I liked red even more but decided to go low key color for once. ruf said their plan is to turn my car into a ruf show/track machine. would love it if you can keep me updated

Sounds nice. I would go with something similar.

And sure thing, I'll keep you updated. They sure can do some awesome things to these cars. They converted this '08 GT3 RS to a 3.9L.

That's too bad. Having driven a GTR and GT3 extensively, the GT3 would be my choice hands-down. The GTR's capabilities are just amazing, but the car allows for none of the emotional involvement the GT3 offers.

The XKE should be fun, is that the last year of the S2?

I dont have much gtr experience but im sure i will agree with you about emotional imvolvement vs gt3. Thats one of the reasons i went with gtr. I was looking for a better daily driver with awd and auto trans so new gt3 was out. Ruled out porsche tt due to price and gtr was something new, recently updated while tt about to be replaced. Only downside with gtr for me is the sound or lack of same

my neighbor just supercharged his GTR (I think it's an '09), it now has 620 bhp. I think I've talked him into taking it to the track :)
