Goodman Race Shop Tour Tomorrow (2/7/04)

I sure wanted to go Gary....but I am in Miami, and my car is still at Carlo's! The worst part is I only live a mile away, and we could have grilled burgers at my house! Damn.

Forgot to mention that I am meeting up with Jackson at 9am and driving over from the eastside

 

Lunch and a drive sounds good.

 

Me, my brother Eric and Robert O will be there. Not driving the 308 or Roberts TR though. I may bring the 240 instead.

We will have to beat it back north for some other obligations soon after. See you tomorrow.

Tim, check the online newsletter at the NWRFCA website. The address and details are in the current issue. Directions and a rundown of some of the cars we will see are in the December issue. The tour will start around 10:00. This will be a good one, featuring some serious race cars. A number of them have Le Mans history. There will also be a little surprise that wasn't mentioned in the newsletter. Anyone who can make it should be there. Sorry to hear Dave Handa can't make it. I knew it was in his neighborhood. I was hoping he would make lunch for all of us.

Thanks, but your reply assumes I've been given a password to access the newsletters. I got the national newsletter, but have not heard from the local chapter yet. It's been a little over 3 weeks since I paid. Is that normal? :-| Anyway, Willis was kind enough to PM me the address. Thanks! - Tim

Yes that is a racing hydrafoil/hydraplane (whatever ya call em and however ya spell em...) in the corner

 

Can you say batting cage & half a basketball court? I knew you could...

 

I'll leave it to your imagination - but there was a pool table, big screen tv, arcade, full bar, more cars, more lifts, more tires than I'll ever use in my life, and a lot of space.

What a cool, cool garage tour. Each of the race cars was neat to see up close.

We are so lucky to have some of these collections in the Northwest with owners that will actually let us in to gawk.
