One lucky guy got his ticket number picked at random to ride up the hill with Lewis H. in his SLR - I didn't win I'm sorry to say, but I did have a long chat with the guy who did win afterwards - it was very interesting. Note in the last photo how Lewis can barely see over the dash. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Lunchtime on Sunday brought a wonderful show by the Red Arrows. I've got tons more photos, but that gives you an idea of what the weekend is like - Se ya next year I hope! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Interesting!......look like this car is too big for LH! May be...he kept the seat low as in his F1 car!!
Absolutely! I'm not sure whether I will be back next year or not - I may alternate the FOS and the Revival - at least until the dollar gets some strength back. It was a great weekend though - great food - great B & B - great people all around. The whole Goodwood operations (both the Revival and the FOS) are by far the best organized events I have ever attended. They leave no detail unturned, and are prepared for every contingency as far as I can see. I attended the Farnborough International Airshow the following week, and the lack of planning and organizational shortcomings were very apparent after the Goodwood experience. Thanks for the hospitality! Roy
I found these - PM me with an email address and I'll send the high res versions if you are interested. Looks like he may have put a wheel off a couple of times, eh? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks for all the pictures. I'll be at my fifth Revival this year and will try to return the favor. Jack.
glad you enjoyed it. the 2 goodwood events are great fun tho i think Quail , pebble beach and the supported races @ laguna are very well done too rgds tony
wow , great pictures guys , thanks for taking the time to post them , i think i have just worn out the wheel on my mouse scroling up and down .....
Thanks for sending them. I heard, that at that corner the track was very slippery: After the rain earlier in the week, the tractors putting the hay balls in place, threw a lot of dirt onto the track. That dirt got rubbed into the asphalt. A couple guys crashed including totaling one of those lovely Jags.
