Looks fun. I'll bring the wagon as medical chase car. Used to run but ice kept flying out of my glass.
What a blast! This was a real priviledge, the manager of this facility is a runner and it took months of corporate red tape to allow 200 or so of us to run a 7k race at the proving grounds, the staff was so gracious and friendly and they enjoyed a rare chance to show off their workplace. Part of the reason for the event being allowed is that 2014 is the 70th anniversary of the San Angelo Proving Grounds. Hundreds of people have worked there over the years and there is a very uncommon, real sense of pride in their work and their facility that just came across with every employee I interacted with. More pics on another SD card, but here's a glimpse. Of course I studied the apexes very carefully. Great Story on Hemmings today with some neat old pics..... Goodyear celebrates the 70th anniversary of San Angelo, Texas proving ground | Hemmings Daily
My Grandfather built many of the roads and bridges around San Angelo, wonder if he ever had a project there. Probably not because it was private and he was TxDOT.
