Google AdSense Elite: Achieving Best Conversion Rates!

Hi guys,

I run a little blog that gets a nearly a thousand impressions a day. Not that great, but it's a start. The problem is, I am only converting about 1% of traffic into clicks.

At one point, people used images right above, below, or to the side of ads for attention, but Google's TOS doesn't allow that anymore.

I have three ad units on the page. The first two are visible when the page loads, directly below and to the right of the title: each has two ads on it. The third is way below on the page, below the menu, and is 4 ads on it, vertical.

How can I convert at least 1% more people? I've heard 3-4% is the standard.
