Does anyone here use Google Drive? Here is their pricing for upgrading storage space: Storage ---- Monthly Rate: 25 GB ---- $2.49 100 GB ---- $4.99 200 GB ---- $9.99 400 GB ---- $19.99 1 TB ---- $49.99 2 TB ---- $99.99 4 TB ---- $199.99 8 TB ---- $399.99 16 TB ---- $799.99 I need to have 1 drive to store ~4TB worth of data among a team of 5 people. We all have Google Apps Pro accounts under the same domain. Can I just upgrade my account to 4TB and "share" access to the other users? Will they all have access to upload/download to my Drive without them all having to pay the upgrade fees as well?
We use Google Drive @ Ricambi, but I've never really looked at the pricing structure. The bill just comes in and gets paid. I think we use slightly under 1TB
The pricing looks expensive to me given how cheap storage is to buy these days and the ease of setting up your own private "cloud". FTP, cloud routers, etc. are less expensive and offer better privacy if set up properly. Google will index everything you upload on their servers.
Per the company I bought our Google Account Pro licenses from.... The answer to my original is "yes" but this is the issue we're having: I went ahead an upgraded my account to 400 GB of storage space for now (you can slowly upgrade as you fill up space)... and created a folder that is shared the rest of my staff with licenses on the same domain. They are able to upload to the shared folder that I "own"... but the individual files they're uploading show also in their "My Drive" which for them has a 5 GB limit. We figured out a work-a-round: For every file that's uploaded, they have to check every file, and change the ownership to me, which removes the usage from their account and adds it to mine. This is incredibly tedious however... is there a way for them to upload files to be owned by my account by default?
