Hello all, Now, I thought this could be a nice little thing. All of those who have google earth, the time and the will. Let's try and spot Ferraris and such. At can be hard, but it is possible. Just go for places you know there are some. Dealers, your house and such I'll begin. London Image Unavailable, Please Login
What about this, can you identify a model type from that pic? I think i see a yellow diablo, not sure what that orange car would be? In fact, its an orange murcielago! Woohoo!
I see alot of Murcis, and yes, a yellow Diablo. I think Gallardo's also. I can't identify the Ferrari's.
Hi guys. great thread - that first one in London I would guess at being HR Owen's aftersales dept. I found it using the coordinates myself and put road names on - it's on School Road, North Acton. IIRC HR Owen Bentley had a workshop there, HR Owen are also franchisees for Ferrari and many other upmarket brands so it's probably them. I'm not sure if they ever had a Lamborghini franchis though - I know that there are onyl 2 official Lamborghini dealer in the UK called Lamborghini London and Lamborghini Manchester, however it could be that HR Owen run them or used to deal in Lambrghini. Also, we don't know how long ago the pics on GoogleEarth were taken. Also that one of the Viper in Vegas, what's going on with the silver-grey car in the top right of the pic. It's half-gone! Is that some freaky road-coloured cloud, or is it a join between two pics or what?
Prob a photo effect... see the shadow cast by the red car / truck behind it... that is also distoreted. (anyone know if they run enhancement s/w on the photos? that could do these things)
This is caused when rubbersheeting image tiles. Since images may be taken at slightly different times, what you see at the edges may not be identical. In a prior shot you can see the color of the freeway change at seam between two images.
You can often see the same cars travelling on the same stretch of road but just slightly ahead. I guess this happened because the cars had moved forward when a different image was taken. If you look at the location of 2 Ferraris on my post, then move forward a bit, you'll see the same 2 cars again. (I think they are the same cars anyway).

I have about 60 places and dealerships pinned with exotics Could be fun if some Fchatters could find themselves and see if their own exotic is outside and post it here

Get ready for much better and clearer images on Goggle. GeoEye, inc., which yesterday announced a deal with Google, is getting ready to launch the world's most sophisticated and highest resolution space-borne imaging satellite.
