They're pretty much the same in visual appearance, just the engines are different, 912 has 4 cylinder and the 911 has, well.. 6 cylinder. I got the info on the one in Spokane from the direct owner itself and told me that it was a 912, however it sold to a local when he was reading a newspaper and someone put a wtb ad in there, I was about to grab that one
Thanks. I knew they were pretty much similar, which why I was wondering how you could tell from the bit of the front end visible in the picture!
Don't mention it! I'm also in the same boat as you back when I was first learn the difference between 912 and 911
I can usually identify a 912, but not always. Often the wheels give it away. 912s have a slightly different stance, too, at least to my eye.
That would have been a fun project, although they rust like any early Porsche. Would be interesting to know the sale price.
I don't know the sale price, it was an off market car never been posted online, and somehow the owner saw a wtb ad in newspaper and he decided to call that number and sold it, just before I reached out to him.
Here's another angle for the one from Massachusetts. Light color interior, this one is a 911 Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Darn I still need to learn the difference between a 911T and a 911S. My brother might knows it. But this one is definitely a lwb according to my eye
The rocker trim (below the door) differs. The S had a longer and more elaborate trim piece. It was optional on the T, but the short rocker trim is specific to the T.
