Shoot me if this is old news to the computer saavy. Everyone in our office just discovered it. I never knew you could view actual streetview pics of your house and neighborhood on the web. This is unbelieveable awesome, and rather spooky and intimidating at the same time. I live in a smaller town, and it blows my mind that GOOGLE expended the energy to drive up and down every rinky-dink street in my town to photograph every house. The cost must be staggering... I must say, its pretty odd to see your house in a frontal shot...in extreme detail...with your stuff on the lawn, or car in the drive way... Big Brother - I know your watching!!! Anyone else play with this?!
I know exactly what you mean. I came across this about two weeks ago, and I'm a little unsure of what I think. Cool, but at the same time a little spooky. Given somethings in the picture, I can acutally pin point down to the exact week they took the pic in front on my house. J
There is already a thread started on this same subject in the subscription section. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?p=137444378#post137444378 Also a couple of weeks ago here in Ft Worth I spotted a very well marked Microsoft Maps SUV equipped with same 360 degree camera system Google used. It was in front of me for about a quarter mile. Makes me wonder how many people flipped the thing off or mooned it? http://preview.local.live.com/
