Does anyone have advice on the best camera mount type and placement on a TR specifically?

Using a suction cup mount on the curved rear window is tempting, but the potential issues are that (a) too much stress will be put on such an oddly shaped piece of glass, and/or (b) too much vibration will cause it to fall off onto the engine cover and damage it.

Details on successes and failures are welcome.

Are you trying to do internal or external mounting?

Ideally it would be mounted externally so as to fully capture the mechanical engine noises and exhaust.

I did a test run today with the camera clipped to the license tag frame, but the sound recording was distorted.

That’s what I thought too, which is why I’m considering glass surfaces. The shape of the rear glass has me thinking it may be a bad idea. Maybe the passenger window is the way to go.
