So here is what I (think I) have learnt along with the launch of the T.33 Spider, and I apply that to the T.33 Coupe as well: First of all: This Spider is simply outstanding, beautiful, and well done. Congratulations to Gordon Murray and the whole GMA Team. The interior is much better than I expected. Love the low dash and lines flowing into the door sides. Driver focused full view where you can easily position he car aided by the top of the fenders directly above the center of the wheels. Hurrah! Instruments are spectacular the way they sit there by themselves. Kinda like on a motorcycle. The shapes look good and the entire layout with holes everywhere is very mechanical and matter of fact. I am even starting to warm up to the shape of the gear shift.. You have the option of choosing between different types of Carbon Fiber textures. Just awesome. There is an electric steering assist below four MPH. Manual steering above that speed. I am in heaven. Seat, to me, is a bit disjointed but i can (must) live with that. The body painted portion between the seats is spectacular. There are great cubby's for phone, sunglasses etc. The Number Plaque is prominently displayed. Seeing the dihedral doors open is great. The luggage space in the fenders is easily accessible, better than I expected. I like the extra horizontal splitter in the front oil cooler air intake. The extra vertical splitter in the rear diffuser - not so much (a hacksaw would fix that - ha). The gear-shift/instrument board layout is awesome. So simple that I should be able to figure it out. The whole cabin gauge/manual/buttons/layout is for driving only. Really - what else do you need in order to enjoy driving? Showing off, yes you need all kinds of wings and **** on your car, with purple ground lights and much much more. Not that there is anything wrong with that - I am just not into that kind of stuff. Back to basics comes to mind. We are lucky that Gordon Murray is building these cars.
I don't intend to start any argument but I find that the Spider (and for that matter the Coupe) in some ways is close to a Ferrari F50. Mostly analog, NA V12 with a manual transmission etc. With the F50 as a potential benchmark there is no doubt about the value. Note: This is a very recent amount of "clarity" I gained on my last walk.
There has never been a Spyder with a functional attached engine scoop above your head on any street car let alone with a gear driven V12 doing 11k+ RPM, removable top, and a rear glass that rolls down weighing 2400lbs. Not only that but they get to spec the car, and meet Gordan. That’s worth something I’m sure to them. It’s utterly unique and I’m sure owners will get the value they are looking for. The CGT and F50 setups are completely rudimentary in comparison, and I absolutely adore them and think they are both all time cars. My only question is could it be too much of a sensory overload at the top end! I wish I could have a Spyder.
Gordon Murray says he put his heart and soul into designing T.33 based on his favorite 60s' race cars.

I know a few people from the fchat got the T.33 coupe. Anyone ordering the Spider? I can‘t fathom the price increase over the coupe despite the bill of materials cost increase. Now, we’re in the Pagani territory and that Utopia looks fantastic on the details compared to any GMA cars.
I’m sure when the F1 came out people thought the EB110, XJ220, etc was comparable as well, until it wasn’t.
Someone post this images of the T.33 Spider , what do you think? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
According to F-Chat subscriber U-Boat Commander : FYI, the T.50s prototype XP1, the T.33 Spider show car and the first production T.50 will all be at the Pebble Beach car week coming up next month. There will be a "public" viewing at The Quail event.
