Here is a race car that I found at the Ford Design Center this Saturday morning. I can't remember what exactly it is, but thought there might be a few opinions here. I know the owner and will ask him next week, but for now, what do you think?

If I should post this in another forum, please let me know.
    Thanks.

it looks a lot like a mondial i think. the hood scoop looks like one for a v12 though which i don't think they ever had. the tail looks very short. and the pininfarina badge on the fender seems out of place on a race car.

actually the scoop looks like it is mounted on the carbs directly. i have never seen a ferrari with one that looks like that, unless the car is without its hood (bonnet to you brits).

    good looking car though.

    Hi Tom,

A friend of mine told me it didn't have a v12 originally and he said he 'thought' it is a Corsica.

Yes, the 'bonnet' is off the car at this time.

    Thanks for your input.

    It's Betz's 375MM, isn't it?

It's one of the two 375 MM PF spyder claiming to be rebuilt around s/n 0362AM's original parts...
This one was blue-yellow stripe, now repainted red-black, with very ugly body.
The other in bare alumunium and red hood is the Betz's one and claiming to have several original parts.

I let the FChat "experts" to say their opinion about these cars.
For me, original parts or not, both are replica...

I offer, and hope you accept, my public apology for my indiscretion in this thread & forum. It was most certainly wrong. I will be much more careful from this point forward.

And, thank you for sharing the "correct" information on this car.

There must be some controversy surrounding this series of car for the conversation to get that out hand that quickly. Is there anywhere I can read about them? What is the sn on the car?
