Recently, several people have spoken to me about the possibility of putting together a trip for F chatters to see F1 in Europe. What would be ideal is to see Belgioum and Italy, for they are on 2 consecutive weekends, and a trip to the factory could be arranged. The idea is to depart the states for Belgium around September 2, see the race at the Spa (best track on the circuit) on Sept. 7, head to Italy on Sept. 8, do a factory tour durring the first part of that week, see the Italian GP in Monza on September 14 and head home on the 15th.
The trip that I would put together would include air, inter Europe transportation, lodging, admittance to the races, and a factory tour. Ballpark cost would be around $7500.00 per person based upon single occupancy, or $5500.00 per person based upon double occupancy. If I get enough people that are seriously interested, I will pursue this further. Of course, I can put together a shorter or longer trip for those whom require that. PM me if there is serious interest.

If by "factory tour" you mean Ferrari, good luck. My wife and I did the factory tour in September 2002 and it involved getting our dealer to make reservations months in advance. I have heard recently that it is even harder now. While there we saw a Grand Prix Tours bus across the street at the museum with Phil Hill as tour leader and they couldn't get into the factory. Later during our time in Italy we went to the Italian GP with GPT . . . .

With respect to Spa, we ran into an aerospace engineer from the Netherlands at the Canadian GP and he said that Spa truly is THE BEST.

Ronnie, my friend on this site, Rob did this trip exactly as you mentioned, and he thought it was an experience of a lifetime. However, he went through GP Tours and it wasn't perfect. Perhaps what you have might be a better experience.

We do this type of thing on our own to various race series in Europe (Spa F1 5 + times) and don't spend nearly that much!! The factory tour is for owners only. Perhaps they are thinking of the Lambo tour or similar. Good luck on attempting to do something like this. I know some folks that did GP Tours too and weren't really thrilled with it and said not again.
