Yea----I am a police officer and run emergency calls everyday I work and have the ability to run 120mph--the guys in the Mid Atlantic region where I live know my profession, hence the grin at the end of the sentence---freakin genius---do better homework if your trying to bust me out ...Maybe spend your time more wisely instead of worrying about what I'm doing

Firstly the guy doing 74 in a 30 in Ontario Canada would have their ass fried and deservedly so. In Ontario if you are caught doing 50 km over [ 30 mph ] your vehicle is impounded, you get a dangerous driving charge, and a fine of $ 2,500 -
$ 10,000. The original poster was doing 44 mph ( about 70 kph). His attitude about the PO dying before he goes to court is pretty offensive.

However, in my neck of the woods most speeding tickets fall into this scenario:

Long stretch of 6-lane road with 40 mph speed limit where there are no houses, schools buildings, etc and a speed trap that is undetectable until you are right upon it. They get you for doing 10 over. Usually on a Sunday or Saturday morning.

Are you breaking the law, yes. Is 10 over a danger on these roads, no.

The insurance companies are greatful for the increased premiums and the city coffers are little fatter.

    My 2 cents

I'm confused....is Canada a Socialist 'state', or a Fascist 'state'?

71 kph over the speed limit is fast, no matter what or where the speed limit is.

To support a law isn't fascist, to thumb your nose at any law because it is a law is quite dumb.

Here are the definitions based on the two cow principal.

    A CHRISTIAN:
You have two cows. You keep one and give one to your neighbor.

    A SOCIALIST:
You have two cows. The government takes one and gives it to your neighbor.

    A REPUBLICAN:
You have two cows. Your neighbor has none. So what?

    A DEMOCRAT:
You have two cows. Your neighbor has none. You feel guilty for being successful. You vote people into office who tax your cows, forcing you to sell one to raise money to pay the tax. The people you voted for then take the tax money and buy a cow and give it to your neighbor. You feel righteous.

    A COMMUNIST:
You have two cows. The government seizes both and provides you with milk.

    A FASCIST:
You have two cows. The government seizes both and sells you the milk. You join the underground and start a campaign of sabotage.

    DEMOCRACY, AMERICAN STYLE:
You have two cows. The government taxes you to the point you have to sell both to support a man in a foreign country who has only one cow, which was a gift from your government.

    CAPITALISM, AMERICAN STYLE:
You have two cows. You sell one, buy a bull, and build a herd of cows.

    BUREAUCRACY, AMERICAN STYLE:
You have two cows. The government takes them both, shoots one, milks the other, pays you for the milk, then pours the milk down the drain.

    Hope this helps.
