I've tried a few of those launch, thinkdiag, x431 dongle, autel devices only to find they were lacked needed funtions, or were counterfeits, or they expired after a certain about of time, or online only etc.
I was looking for an alternative and ran across the thinkscan 689BT from thinkcar. It can be used offline, and claims lifetime updates for free. It appears to be considerably cheaper ($450-566 depending on coupons) than the x431, which still requires a yearly subscription (correct me if I'm wrong). I read about it on some other forms with good reviews, and it seems to have very good reviews on Amazon.
I just want to make sure it does the required operations for these cars, specifically a clutch job I will be doing shortly.
It easily shows clutch life and has the PIS and bleeding options i've read discussed here on other threads.
Initially the build quality feels great, comes with all kinds of adaptors including ethernet to obd2.
What else do you guys want me to test?

The software is the same as thinkdiag2, x431 , and all the launch line ...so whatever the others do and do not do for Ferrari will be the same

Autel has a different line /software

Btw ..it looks like your table needs an Ferrari software update ..you should be at 11.**

Just a fyi... the current version of launch family of software has the bleed but unfortunately when using iPhone and thinkdiag2 you are unable to get latest ...if you pair an android with the thinkdiag2 you will get the latest including ediff bleed

Can it do configuration options for the gauge cluster, for example coding in/out the automatic gearbox?

Wonder what the block or difficulty is from someone creating a Leonardo clone or similar in a smaller package and why we haven't seen one by now.

Please be aware ...if you have an up to date launch product ...and using a android ( if only a dongle product) you can check for yourself ..as i mentioned above for Ferrari 430 and 360 they will be no difference

You be surprised how much the software in launch products is suspiciously like the Leo

I'm sure. And not that it's really lacking for basic maintenance. It just would be nice if they added the cluster functions as well.

If you have a valid launch product you can request the function ..sometimes they add functionality as the e-diff in new software ..they do actually read the cases

I would call their tech support ..which I had good experience with ..they probably want to see the function (screen print etc ) and maybe they will add to the wish list on development side ...would be good if it was shared in New models as well cause they may have closed the book on older models per se

Yes. Looks like you can see a value listed for pressure temperature and battery level for the TPMS.
You can also go through and just click one of literally hundreds of different parameters to monitor live with graphs

All launch products have problem getting into airbag
...one of the reason I have additional ap200 (autel) to reset a airbag light.

Thanks. It seems the eDiff bleed does not work on firmware 2.13 of the eDiff module but does for 2.16 and your 2.17

What is odd to me is that my label has something very similar to this green pen that shows 2.19 firmware but reading the module it reports 0213

I do not understand why Ferrari updates the dates in the label but not the software rev. All say 1.30

I will never find the release notes but just bugs me that 2.13 doesn't do the eDiff bleed.
