as someone who has both the 360 and the sti in their garage, i must say that the sti that pulled on you most certainly had some work done.... my sti is fairly stock, and i have my work cut out with the blown cobras, and get propperly owned by the audi rs6.. i assume to pull on a 360 the guy has dropped about 8k into a tbe, and a monster turbo kit, and some sort of piggy back. /cheers
tifosi69, 1) Subura has been producing street versions of their rally cars for decades. They just didn't import them to North American until the WRX. 2) I love most Ferrari V8s and have owned two, a 328GTS and 348 Spider. I just like 12 cylinder ones better. 3) I do not consider the name "Dino" to be pejorative and neither did Enzo as he often referred to him as his beloved son and named a line of cars after him.
hehe who knows.. i've had cars that i should have beat stay on my rear... it all comes down to driver skill.. that and the internal governer that regulates how idioticly fast one wants to drive on public roads...

You may be correct and a Subaru salesman may have posted that thread. However, the Sti is a fast car stock and like all turbo cars can be made even faster with a little modifications. HMS, what is the VIN of your 360 ?
Frank, Don't get me wrong. Subaru's deserve a lot of respect. I bought my oldest Daughter a 94 SVX 4 years ago and it's a damn good car. I drive it now and then to push the RPM's a little because she never does. ( I hate the ½ windows though) We bought our younger Daughter a 98 Legacy 18 months ago. It's been a great car. So don't think I have anything against Subaru's. The WRX/Sti over the top, unbelievable bang for the buck and I like them (even with the wing!). I just think this guy is bogus He should put up, or shut up! Pictures & Vin#, please? or HMS=FOS!
Well, I'm a newbie and don't know if this post is BS or not, but it is pretty freaking funny. Why is everyone so sensitive about their Ferrari getting beat by something x dollars cheaper? And all the lame "ricer" verbage, geez guys, does your mother need to give you another lesson in name calling? It wasn't nice in 3rd grade, and it still isn't. I dig Ferrari's and own one, but if you are going to get all twisted up about some other marque' (apparently below you) ripping you a new one, life is going to be long and hard. Honda, Subaru, Mazda, Toyota, etc., all make cars that if you want to maximize dollars for raw performance will leave your Ferrari in the dust. There is a bit more to it than that, though isn't there? If you want maximum 0 to 60 for the buck, any late model superbike will get you there for less than the tax you pay on your exotic. Anyway, great board.
Give me a break. Are you telling me you never push you'r Ferrari past the speed limit on the street? I knew when to back off and I did. This car was fast, however I do agree that the driver is 75% of the race. My buddy in a GT2 was beat by a 330CI in Angeles Crest. It's not that he's a bad driver, just that the guy in the 330 was better in a slower car.

OK, I agree, this is a all in all a respectful and intelligent community, and I'll take back the "twisted up" statement, but geez .... 13,000 views, I just thought that was pretty interesting. I guess ultimately it is pretty cool that people have such a compassion about all of this. Thank God if the biggest issue in your day is your opinion of a Subaru!!!
Nice try. I have a life and it's got nothing to do with Subaru's or Lambo's. My hobby and passion is around Ferrari's. I enjoy and appreciate this forum very much and have learned a lot. I don't have the time nor the patience to respond to every post or joker like you. I just shared an experience and that's it, nothing more.
Personally I think the Evo is faster than the STi. I have an Evo myself and I test drived both the Evo and STi before I made my final decision. Even though the stats say that the STi is faster 0-60, they both are really about the same. The STi may beat the Evo in a straight line, but when it comes to canyons and turns, the handling of the Evo is just too good and will beat the STi. Even 9 out of every 10 car magazines pick Evo over the STi overall. Ok fair enough....but HUH? So let me get this straight. You THINK the Evo is faster, but you say the STATS say the STI is faster, but you THINK "they are both the same" Ok thanks for clearing that up.
