Well, finally the great day dawned... I picked up my lovely 348 this morning from Mike at Rardley Motors. Great guy, and a cracking car.

The M25 was almost a car park, and not much better going up the M1 - what`s happening with our roads these days???!!

Stopped for fuel and a coffee half way, but found myself rushing outside after a very short while to check that nothing had happened to my "baby"!!

The drove almost parallel with a gleaming rosso 355 for most of the M1! (Anyone from on here perhaps?) - it was quite a sight, and also funny looking at people`s faces idling beside us in the slow moving lanes.

Finally landed home in Hull six hours after leaving Surrey!! The car sounded awesome as I had a bit of a chance to play on the last leg, the M62. Not the most comfortable ride I`ve ever had (I can`t move!), but without a shadow of a doubt, the absolute best one!

    What a great day...!

    Geoff,
looks like you picked the wrong day to be on M1....i read of 10 mile tail backs .Still ,not all doom and gloom. At least you had the 348 to keep you company.
    Congrats.

Yup, I`ll grab some piccies tomorrow and bore you all with a few ;-)

Stephen, no I don`t think so. It was definitely a plate starting with the letter G, and I *think* a couple of 1`s were in there too. But no TRY as far as I recall...although I have been known to be wrong, on many occasions!!

    Geoff,

Great you have a 348. What exact model ??? I live in Sunny S****horpe. We must meet up sometime. If you ever what a ride out across the golden gate bridge of Hull (Humber Bridge) then we can have a drive to the family pub in Susworth. ( www.jennywreninn.co.uk ). I have a 348 Spyder.....

I hope the car is going great. Where do you plan on getting serviced around here ??
The weather is good this weekend, have fun..... Mine is going in for a MOT today... It hopefully will pass mechanically, the mechanic lets it go through with the emissions without the Cats, he just loves the noise...............

Hey kenyon.. great stuff that we are so close; yes definitely we`ll have to have a meet up.. there ain`t very many f-cars around here at all. Good luck with the MOT; I was planning on using Graypaul at Sheffield for major work, in conjunction with a friend who is actually a fully trained former f-mechanic for the smaller stuff and sorting out any niggles, etc. for me. He is close by here in Hull.

As threatened, a few pics of my new pride and joy on her first day at her new home ;-) As you can see, scoring a big hit with my kids! Cheers everyone!

    Geoff,

Great looking and the interior is spot on. Best combination...
If possible might need to use your mechanic for the small jobs.
Kevin Martin Specialist in S****horpe do cambelts for F348, £600.00 plus vat to fit without parts. A very good garage. They deal with loads of exotic sportscars....

I will be off the board for the next few days.My wife is expecting to deliver our first baby in the next day or so. Not sure if its a boy or girl. Cannot wait. Just waiting for Verdi to get the baby seat finished for my 348 spyder. I will send a private message..
I have great time burning up the raods. Their is a old boy in S****horp that has a 348 TS 1992. My friends have TVR, Countach and a Lotus V8. I have seen a 360 in town but that it.
