New to this whole thing. Does everyone have an annual checklist of sorts for things to stay on top of? I assume oil change is something, but anything else I should be particular about with a 458. 8k miles on it.

Oil change every year for sure. Brake fluid flush, new air cleaner and serpentine belt every two years is what my dealer recommends, although I checked my air cleaner this year and it's as white as snow, so it probably won't hurt to go another year on it. A lot depends on how many miles you drive and how dusty your area is. New tires and new battery every 5 years. Again, general guidelines.

Barring any CELs or other diagnostic abnormalities- I do the annual/bi-annual/annual/bi-annual/major cycle and just let my dealer do whatever is recommended. Tires usually with the major (I'm pretty easy on tires so depends on how/where you drive).

I put an Antigravity battery in because the factory batteries are crap and where I store my cars does not have power so can't keep it on the/a tender. The Antigravity batteries are awesome and cannot go dead so one less worry.

I posted screenshots of both annual and bi-annual service tickets (items and costs) in another thread- on my phone now but happy to find and repost.

Call me ignorant but I figure Ferrari designed and built the car and adhering to their recommended maintenance schedule might work out ok- Others may disagree. Adhering to their cycle has worked out ok for my 1995 355 so figure do the same for the 458.

If you bought it from an AD then they should have at least done an annual and you should have maintenance records so just get into that cycle.

Now there are some awesome DIY guys on here and lots of amazing independents out there so whatever works for you but for me I let the authorized pros with the right tools, parts and diagnostic equipment who are a phone call from Maranello do the work.

    Cheers- And PICS please :)

Given the relatively low miles on these cars I conduct maintenance based upon age/time not miles. As an example, on my 2014 458 with 22,000 miles I've already changed all the fluids. On my next service I plan to change the spark plugs as they've been in the cylinders for 8 years now and I don't want to take the chance of them freezing in the cylinders.
