got my new 308 gt4 back from having the shift selector forks adjusted, some bushings and O rings and some fluids. what a car! it's unlike anything I've ever been in; my mid year corvette is a fast car, faster than the gt4, but this is different; like a 20k go-cart. It feels like a race car should feel (though I've never been in one, except this one); anyway I've read and re-read alot of the threads here about ferrari ownership and the joys and tribulations. having driven it around for a short while anyway, I get it. many thanks to alan leach for his sagacious advice.

    Hi Rick

Glad it is working out well. Perhaps you should start thinking about a track day if you like the go-kart feel? My dream in late 1960's was to race my 1961 Bug Eye Sprite. It was in bad shape so that nerver happened, but last year I took my 308GT4 on a track day. Excellent instruction and what a totally enjoyable experinece. A Ferrari on the track is what the ultimate is, for me at least. 3 track events planned this year.... One of the perks of ownership :) I'm sure there are some track events with instruction near Houston.

I second the track event idea. The absolute most fun you will ever have in a car, short of being in the back seat with an absolute hottie :)

I need to find some more time for track events. It's been too long.
