Got my new wheels on

Not withstanding ANY of the BS ive been through with this, I must say the wheels are beautiful, and excellent quality too. They are pretty exact replica's of the 360 modular wheels, only they are 1 piece. The company that sells them (Highline) is pure ****, but the wheels themselves are gorgeous.
I was anxious enough waiting for them to arrive, imagine looking at THREE of them and waiting another damn week for the 4th!

BTW, UPS has the trace put on the 4th wheel, but nothing yet... they say I have to allow up to 8 business days!! Clearly UPS has NO regard for the poor bastard that is needing his package!!! As far as business practices and service, I put Highline and UPS in the same category... its no wonder that UPS is Highline's shipper of choice!

 

348 wheels look period correct for certain. The 355 or 355 challenge wheels look best for that body style IMO.

Your official Brotherhood hat is on its way. I was going to send it UPS just to mess with you.... but you need a break so I sent it USPS 2nd day. Hopefully you will get your last wheel and the hat at the same time.

 

Thanks John! believe me, that'll come before the 4th wheel does... I had to call Highline myself before they closed, but I got the tracking number... UPS has it in the system, but they dont show it being in their posession yet, but that means nothing. If i'm lucky, it'll get here on Friday.. but i'm NOT lucky, so i'm assuming next Monday @%$#&!

Looks like the big money companies have problems with product and customer service as well.

BTW, the 4th wheel wont be here till Tuesday the 20th... a mere 23 days since I ordered them, to aquire a FULL set...
Highline doesnt give a damn, and refused to do ANYTHING to correct the situation to my satisfaction, UPS doesnt give a damn, and refused to do ANYTHING to correct the situation to my satisfaction... big surprise.

The update you've been waiting for...
the 4th wheel DID show up today.. undamaged, believe it or not.

There is one problem tho... they put THE WRONG TIRE on the wheel!! Its a Vredstein, and the right size... but the wrong model, a totally different tread pattern. I am beyond furious... I called, and of course ''Grace'' wasnt in today (lucky for her) so I had to go off on somone who's fault this WASNT. The girl I did yell too said they would overnight me the right tire, and send a call-tag to pick up the wrong tire. This is of course AFTER I have to PAY a shop to switch the tires. I was supposed to get a call with my tracking number 20 minutes ago, and they close in 10 minutes.... so let me have to call them right now to get the damn tracking number....

(minutes later) ok, I got the tracking number... and they confirmed that it is being sent overnight... and UPS was actually there when I called, picking it up. So I guess we'll see what happens next!!

 

The obvious incompetancy displayed by the company continues to amaze and astound me...

I couldn't agree more Mike...

Miraculously the tire showed up this morning... so at least FINALLY, 24 days later, I have all the elements to put these wheels on my car.

This isnt over yet... I had to sign and fax a form to Highline stating that if I didnt return the wrong tire in 5 days, they would charge my credit card $225. They didnt send the pickup call-tag today, and I wont be able to get the tire to UPS until Monday because of the holiday.
Hopefully I will not end up at war over a charge to my credit card for this tire.

The small amount of satisfaction I do get is... at least with what it cost to overnight this tire from Miami to Las Vegas, I actually got my money's worth out of the $275 jack they charged me for shipping in the 1st place!

 

What? all the crap you went through and no pics. We expect a picture of you with the Brotherhood hat giving the bird to Highline wheels.

 

Extremely sorry you've had so many problems with these idiots..........I just can't believe this is actually a business, and not some kindergarden kids doing a project for their class.

To bad they aren't within driving distance so you could get some REAL satisfaction...,,lol

Easy John! lol... I just got done putting them on the car, but its dark now... so i'll take some pics tomorrow.
While I was at it, I took all the brake pads out and coated the crap out of them with anti-squeal. The brakes had just been done before I bought the car, and there was some kind of gook on the backs that wasnt like any anti-squeal ive ever seen!, but they squeaked like hell when I stopped... VERY humiliating coming up to a red light! So I scraped all the gook off and cleaned them up real nice, I used good Permatex Brake Quiet on there, hopefully that will take care of it.

Thanks Bruce, and yes, its a good thing that i'm over 3000 miles from Miami... Andrew would definately have a kicked arse!!
And I hope that as a result of me documenting my experience with Highline... that they are on EVERYONES ''S'' list!!
